BUILD LOG #001 — I Built an App to Document What I'm Building

I run several projects, and I kept hitting the same problem: I would make progress all day, but posting an update to X or LinkedIn felt like another job. So I built something to solve it. Meet BuildLog — a lightweight app that lets me record a voice update, snap a photo, capture a video, or save a note. It organizes the update and helps turn it into social post drafts. The best part is that I started using it while it was still being built. I tested the voice capture and the post-generation workflow on my actual devices, then added features based on what was missing. No giant build plan. Just one useful improvement at a time. Now I'm exploring a bigger idea: keep the capture app free, with an optional paid Content Engine for creators who want to repurpose their work into more content. That's a model we still have to validate. I'm going to document BuildLog here: what works, what breaks, what it costs, and what I learn as I explore making it a real product. Question for the Lab: If you could capture your day's work in 30 seconds and turn it into useful content, what would you want the app to do for you? THINK → BUILD → SELL. NTTW!
